We live about an hour from Carmel Valley but it still feels like a vacation destination! This is our second stay at Bernardus Lodge and we had a wonderful time. We had dinner for 6 in the restaurant and had a lovely celebratory meal, then 4 of us (two couples) stayed for two nights on the property. The rooms are comfortable and cozy, the fire pit and grounds are delightful, and we loved relaxing poolside! We also wandered off property for a little wine tasting and had lunch in Carmel Valley Village, but were happily welcomed back to Bernardus and wanted to maximize our time there.
