Hardcore fans of tank warfare games will definitely dig the features that they can find in Armored Warfare. This game is not your usual title, so playing it will definitely not be a repetitive experience, one that will make you think to yourself, “Oh, just one more tank game.” That’s an inaccurate and, frankly, unfair observation.
Where can you play an MMO that lets you micromanage your tank’s and crew’s stats? Adding a crew member will bring a unique level of skill to your tank. This means that each member upgrades the tank’s capabilities in his or her individual capacity. For instance, adding a member that has excellent reloading capabilities means that your tank will have a slightly improved rate of fire. This feature is unique, and something that World of Warfare can totally call its own.
Other games sometimes put an emphasis on players rushing to duke it out with the opposing force. In Armored Warfare, however, Rushing is considered as suicide in this game. The game is realistically designed, as each tank is totally sluggish to move. General gamers could consider this a turn off but this is actually what makes the game stand out from the rest of the competition. The heavy weight of the tanks and the slow pace that they move will force one to be very tactical with his or her movements in battle. That’s exactly like a real tank battle, where tank crews have to be careful and, when possible, ground themselves down so they have an advantage over the attacking enemy.
The camouflage system in the game is also quite unique. Each tank has its own camouflage rating and, keeping up with the game’s emphasis on management, this rating varies depending on the movement of the tank. One tank could have a good camouflage rating when entrenched, but poor when it is moving, while another tank could have the opposite. It’s a good mechanism that will allow players to pick a tank that suits their playing style; some players, after all, prefer to move around instead of finding a spot to dig in and fire at the enemy.
The game also brings one unique feature that you don’t find in other tank games – base building. Yes, aside from building and upgrading your tanks, you also have to build a base using Raw Materials that’s given to you with every log in. This feature adds one more management challenge for you, and provides additional depth to the game.
Fighting battles gives you Proven points, which takes the place of an in-game currency. It’s used to purchase new tanks, upgrade your current tanks and purchase team members. The advancement system in the game is also very unique – upgrading and constantly using a tank in battle will cause it to level up, and unlock more advanced tanks in its tier.
